Holidays a cappella 2000 - Chicago a cappella

Program creation and Music Direction by Jonathan Miller

Our deeply satisfying annual December feast. There is no better medium than choral music to celebrate the wonder of our world’s winter holidays. Our holiday program is created to warm your heart, fill your soul, give you a breather from the inevitable bustle, and surround you with exquisite, lush harmonies. Come hear familiar holiday tunes in new guises, by skillful arrangers; new tunes for old tales; and the joyous intimacy of our nine singers.

Enjoy this year’s special focus on the heartfelt carols of Eastern Europe. Hear the Chicago premiere of Veni, veni Emmanuel in an arrangement by Polish composer Jacek Sykulski; Latvian Christmas songs by Andrejs Jansons; the famous Ukrainian carol “God now is born here”; and more.  And don’t miss our ever-popular Christmas spirituals!
