Chicago a cappella engages regularly with students of all levels to help bring the art and appreciation of ensemble singing to the next generations.
Our outreach work has included:
- Residencies at Chicago schools including Senn High School, Naperville North High School, Francis W. Parker School, Washington Irving School, and others
- Workshops with visiting youth choirs from Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Maryland, and Colorado
- Masterclasses and in-classroom workshops with elementary and high schools in the Chicago area
- Day-long choral festivals bringing together students from all over the Chicago area
- Auditioned intern and apprentice ensembles of talented high school students, offering mentoring and training in arts administration as well as musical training
- ¡Cantaré! Chicago, a Mexican composer-in-residence program in Chicago schools.
We are now embarking on a new phase of our outreach programming, and we would like to hear from you as we continue to seek ways to connect with and serve students from across our city and beyond! We welcome your inquiries, ideas, and connections as we pursue this vital work. Please contact Program Manager Matthew Brennan at mbrennan@chicagoacappella.org.
