Chicago a cappella  |  Part-Time  |  $22/hour

About Us

Chicago a cappella is a professional vocal ensemble dedicated to bringing world-class a cappella music to Chicago-area audiences. We are a small, mission-driven team that takes great pride in our work and our connection to our community.

The Role

This is a part-time position (24 hours/week) with additional evening and weekend hours required for concerts and events. The Coordinator will work across two primary areas — marketing and audience services — while providing general administrative support to our small staff.

Responsibilities include supporting all marketing activities: social media content creation and management, campaign planning, graphic design of flyers and digital assets, video content, calendar listings, and on-site event promotion. On the audience services side, the Coordinator will serve as Assistant House Manager at performances, provide box office backup, and fulfill ticket donation requests. Additional responsibilities include supporting fundraising mailings, events, and other projects as they arise.

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated comfort with social media platforms and content strategy
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
  • Experience with or interest in video and audio content creation
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Customer Service experience a plus
  • Familiarity with database tools and/or ticketing systems a plus but not required
  • A sincere interest in and enthusiasm for the performing arts is essential

Schedule & Compensation
  • 24 hours/week during regular business hours (Mon–Fri, 10am–5pm); schedule can be customized, but should be consistent and predictable
  • Hybrid work structure, with some in office hours required each week
  • Additional evening and weekend hours required for concerts and other events (scheduled in advance)
  • $22/hour
