“¡Cantare! Chicago” Community Concert

May 12, 2017

Join us for the inspiring culmination of our yearlong ¡Cantare! program.  Students from participating schools, our High School Intern Ensemble, and Chicago a cappella will all perform works from Mexico, including new works by our ¡Cantare! Chicago composer-in-residence, Mexico City's Rodrigo Cadet.  You'll hear his new commission for Chicago a cappella—an  exciting setting of a sonnet by Mexican poet Sor Juana—plus settings of folks songs and other Mexican contemporary works.  This free event will be a joyous celebration of Mexican culture.

¡Cantaré! Chicago is a partner program of VocalEssence ¡Cantaré! based in Minneapolis, MN.

Acompañenos a Chicago a cappella para un concierto comunitario gratuito celebrando la cultura mexicana.
