Through Argentine Eyes

Join us for our season’s grand finale as we uncover the extraordinary musical riches of Argentina. Enjoy the rich sound of our expanded twelve-voice ensemble as we present:

  • the Midwest premiere of a major new work, The Wanderer by Ezequiel Viñao, co-commissioned by Chanticleer and Chicago a cappella;
  • Argentine musical gems by Ginastera and Guastavino, and the Chicago premiere of Osvaldo Golijov's "Coral del Arrecife" from his work Oceana;
  • traditional Argentine dance music, with virtuoso tango performances by Argentina’s Daniel Noce and Ramona Nita.
